As the subject suggests, the suspense grew with each chapter. I had no idea how it was going to all come together till the end.I found the characters very real. Ms. Baker got into their heads illuminating how the main characters thought and felt. That was what it seem real to me. It is amazing how Ms Baker, excuse me, Judge Baker, not only put meat on the bones of her characters but I could feel their emotions and read their thoughts.
The ending made sense to me. The plot continued on an even keel till the last few chapters when the tension I felt exploded.
This will end my review of this marvelous story. Now I will go outside and make sure there are no prowlers around.
You owe it to yourself to enjoy "Unaware".

I was very drawn into this novel, esp knowing the profession of the author. It was hard to put it down. It's exciting & I will definitely read more of Susan Baker's novels!
Great characters and not predictable like I find so many mysteries. Easy to read and very hard to put down! I would recommend it highly!!!
This is my second Susan Baker read and she doesn’t disappoint. She keeps the reader engaged by adding in twists and turns. Now, onto my third!
I really enjoyed this book, especially since it takes place in my hometown of Galveston. After I finished reading the book I drove around Galveston to many of the locations mentioned in the book. Now that was cool. Susan P. Baker has made my quiet hometown of Galveston into a very suspenseful place. I hope there is a sequel or a continuing series for this book.
Enjoyed reading another good story from Susan P Baker. I started reading and couldn't put it down, I stayed up until 2 AM to finish it! This one had some real twists and turns in it and I was really surprised at the ending! Living on Galveston Island it was fun to know where all the action took place. If you like thrillers you will enjoy this book! I am a fan of Susan's and have read all of her books. This is the best yet. I can't wait for the next one.
Just finished your book, Unaware.i really enjoyed the book and the story was captivating. I was born in Galveston and grew up in La Marque, so like eNjoy reading books that take place in Galveston and the surrounding area. Would have enjoyed the story even if it had not included my favorite island. Thank you for writing it and will look for more books written by you.
Really good book! I love the characters and the flow of the story. The twists throughout the plot kept me turning pages late into the night to see what would happen next. It's cool to know that it is written about a Lawyer - by Lawyer. The real life experience adds a lot of depth and insight. The suspense actually made me feel nervous enough to get up to go double check the locks around our house. It's hard not to say too much and give away the outcome.This is a great book for Summer vaca, too.
